About me
Alan Tenta spent 28 years as a public-school teacher; his life changed when his outdoor education students convinced him to apply to The HISTORY® Channel's reality survival television show Alone® . In 2023, the final episode of Alone® aired on The HISTORY® Channel revealing that Alan was the last remaining contestant. He spent over two months in the wilds of northern Saskatchewan to become the winner of Alone®. Alan overcame significant physical and mental hardships to outlast nine other competitors in the wilderness of northern Saskatchewan, Canada. After surviving 66 days with 10 items, eating only what nature provided, and building a moss-covered shelter, he learned the importance of a relationship with nature, resilience, and the ability to maintain a positive attitude in the most challenging situations.
